Inside Maura Higgins’ Dramatic White-and-Black Genny Moment on the Red Carpet
There are red carpets, and then there are moments of pure sartorial theater — and Maura Higgins delivered the latter on August 14, when she reunited with The Traitors cast, past and present, at the Television Academy’s 2026 Televerse Festival in Los Angeles. Joining Lisa Rinna, Eric Nam, MonĂ©t X Change, and Tara Lipinski for the occasion, Higgins arrived in a look that didn’t so much walk the carpet as claim it.
The Irish reality star chose an all-white ensemble from Genny’s fall 2026 collection, and the selection spoke to a designer’s eye as much as a star’s instinct for spectacle. Crisp, high-waisted pleated trousers anchored the look, paired with a corseted peplum top featuring a structural strapless bodice — the kind of tailoring that demands a second glance. Styled by Kris Fe, the ensemble balanced precision with drama in equal measure, Maura Higgins’ style steals the show.

That drama arrived most vividly at the peplum’s edge, finished with textured white feather trim dipped in black at the tips — a detail that transformed a tailored set into something closer to costume design. The exaggerated shape of the peplum, combined with the playful movement of the feathers, kept Higgins’ silhouette from ever reading as flat or static. Even the pleating of the corset top did double duty, carving angular lines into the fabric while keeping the bodice fitted close to her frame — structure and softness working in tandem.
Higgins wisely resisted the urge to over-accessorize. A single statement ring was the only jewelry she allowed herself, a pared-back choice that let the Genny set’s tailoring and feather trim command full attention without competition. It’s a lesson in restraint that more red-carpet dressers could stand to learn: when the garment does this much work, the accessories should know when to step back.

Her beauty look followed the same instinct toward drama with intention — dramatic false lashes, a soft pink lip, and blush applied with a visible, sculptural hand, all in service of a face built to photograph as boldly as the outfit surrounding it.
The evening was, in many ways, a Traitors family reunion. Higgins reconnected with co-stars Rinna and Lipinski, and the trio posed together for a flurry of red-carpet photographs. Rinna herself cycled through two looks over the course of the evening — a black mini dress finished with oversized sunglasses, followed by a striking little black dress — proving the night belonged to monochrome dressing in all its forms.

Higgins’ whirlwind week didn’t end there. Just two days prior, the Love Island favorite documented her journey Stateside via Instagram Stories, sharing a photo from Heathrow Airport that showed off an eye-watering ten bags stacked on a luggage trolley. “10 bags later,” she captioned the image, punctuated with a plane emoji — a nod to the scale of the transition ahead. She followed it with a striking shot of herself striding onto a set in a powerful blazer-and-skirt combination, finished with chic white heels, captioning the moment “Chapter: Hollywood” alongside a trio of star emojis.

Between the feathers, the pleats, and the transatlantic move, Higgins is clearly signaling a new era — one carried out in full designer force. The Traitors’ 35th series is set to premiere on Peacock this September, giving audiences plenty of reason to keep watching her next chapter unfold.
