Selena Gomez brought her fashion A-game to the AFI Awards Luncheon in Los Angeles on Friday, fully embracing one of TikTok’s hottest style crazes. The Rare Beauty founder arrived wearing a seductive pinstripe suit that exuded ‘office siren’ appeal. The viral aesthetic, which has amassed nearly 6 million views online, is defined by neutral colors, body-skimming silhouettes, and fierce accessories.

Gomez’s ensemble checked all the boxes. She sizzled in a black blazer and matching wide-leg trousers adorned with thin white pinstripes. A gold Medusa belt by Versace accentuated her enviable waistline. The 31-year-old star complemented the bold belt with a voluminous blowout, dramatic smokey eye, and nude lip color.

The sighting comes on the heels of a busy week for Gomez. On Wednesday, she hosted a product launch event for her makeup and skincare brand Rare Beauty wearing another head-turning outfit. Clad in a $70 lace corset bra by Victoria’s Secret layered under white blazer and matching trousers, she was a vision. A dazzling diamond necklace, white waistcoat, and open-toed pumps completed the angelic look.

On Jan. 8, the actress walked the red carpet at the 2024 Golden Globes (where she was nominated!) in a gorgeous red dress from Giorgio Armani. During her walk down the red carpet, Gomez stopped to pose for photos at which point one photographer can be heard telling her to “work the wind” in a video shared by Vogue on Instagram.

The “Single Soon” singer smiled as the wind caught her hemline leading to her embracing her Marilyn moment as her dress billowed up around her knees as she demurely attempted to hold it in place.

The design was impressive all on its own thanks to its asymmetrical hemline and black accents including cutouts down the front that were accented with rosettes, along with a black lining that peeked out underneath the skirt. The uncharacteristically windy weather in Los Angeles, however, added a whole new level of drama to the multi-hyphenates vibrant look.
