Last night, Lindsay Lohan made a surprise celebrity appearance that was absolutely grool. The 37-year-old actress, best known for originating the role of Cady Heron in the 2004 cult classic film Mean Girls, stunned on the red carpet at the premiere of the Mean Girls musical movie in a sultry Alexandre Vauthier cutout gown. With soft glamorous waves and a sophisticated aura, Lohan looked fetchingly far from the high school wallflower she once played.
Behind Lohan’s gorgeous mane was celebrity hairstylist Danielle Priano, who described the opportunity to style Lohan for this significant event as “an exhilarating moment.” Priano, a self-proclaimed superfan of the Mean Girls film franchise, drew inspiration from Lohan’s evolution from teen starlet to mature actress in envisioning the perfect red carpet look. The “Parent Trap” star — who recently joined her “Mean Girls” pals, minus Rachel McAdams, in a Walmart Black Friday ad — accessorized with a black clutch featuring a crystal buckle and black Giuseppe Zanotti heels.
The new mother, 37 — who gave birth to a son, Luai, with husband Bader Shammas in July proved she was a “cool mom” as she rocked a long-sleeved Alexandre Vauthie creation with ab cutouts and a crystal band around the waist for her red carpet appearance. Her dress was slightly modified from the original spring/summer 2023 runway look, with Lohan’s featuring a round neckline versus the turtleneck style a model wore on the catwalk.
According to Priano, the atmosphere while getting Lohan ready was filled with infectious excitement and laughter amongst old friends. When Lohan re-emerged in her complete look, Priano and team knew they had perfectly encapsulated this significant moment in Lohan’s career.
Lohan was in fine company at the premiere, joined by Mean Girls film creator Tina Fey and stars of the Broadway musical adaptation including Christopher Briney, Reneé Rapp and Angourie Rice. The event also attracted musical superfan Megan Thee Stallion, who recently paid homage to Lohan’s iconic Regina George character in a social media video. Lohan told reporters on the carpet that she “hopes” to be a cool mom one day, indicating her evolution from the high school Queen Bee she once played.
Last night marked a full circle moment for Lohan, reuniting with her Mean Girls family and cementing her cultural influence years after leaving North Shore High behind. Between the glamorous hair and gown to the awe-inspiring guest list, Cady Heron finally got her Hollywood ending. Her presence at the premiere proved that when it comes to Lohan’s star power, the limit simply does not exist.
