As if there was ever any doubt that Kate Moss’s daughter Lila was going to be a fashion VIP.
The supermodel queen – who recently celebrated her 50th birthday – attended the Dior Menswear fashion show at Ecole Militaire in the French capital on Friday (January 19).Kate Moss, the legendary British supermodel who turned 50 in rebellious rock ‘n’ roll style earlier this week, made a showstopping entrance at the Dior Homme autumn/winter 2024 show alongside her daughter and rising catwalk star, Lila Moss. The mother-daughter duo brought their signature effortless attitude to the City of Light, embodying Parisian insouciance in their fashion week finery.
Kate, ever the trailblazing style icon even after three decades in the spotlight, sashayed across the cobblestones in a sultry aqua top with a collar of shimmering turquoise stones reminiscent of the free-spirited glamazons of the 1970s. Paired with slinky black leggings and over-the-knee leather boots, the birthday girl’s silhouette was envy-inducing. “Kate looks even more ravishing at 50,” remarked one front row guest. “She’s aging beautifully but with a wicked twist.”
Lila, Kate’s mini-me who made her modeling debut four years ago at age 16, embodied her mother’s renegade rock chick appeal in head-to-toe black with a crushed velvet flare. “Like mother, like daughter,” commented street style photographer Phil Oh after snapping the pair outside the venue. “They both have that saucy yet nonchalant je ne sais quoi that makes them true originals.”
In recent years, Lila has been pursuing her own modeling career, which she says her mother fully supports. The two stunned together at the 2022 and 2023 Met Galas and Lila says the elder Moss is giving the younger advice about how to follow footsteps, literally.
Earlier this week, Kate celebrated her landmark birthday in signature wild child style here in the world’s fashion capital. Clad in a barely-there black lace dress that left little to the imagination, the quintessential waif was the life of the party as she laughed, danced and toasted with A-list pals like Naomi Campbell, Marc Jacobs, and Rita Ora until dawn at the lavish Hotel Ritz bash thrown in her honor.
If the Dior front row was any indication, expect to see more iconic mother-daughter fashion moments as Paris Fashion Week continues through Sunday. Lila is slated to walk the runway for prestigious houses like Miu Miu and Stella McCartney, while Kate will likely pop up to cheer her on. This dazzling duo has proven over and over again that glamour, attitude and authentic personal style have no expiration date.
