Jennifer Lawrence Handles Wardrobe Malfunction Like a Pro at Saks Fifth Avenue Event
Leave it to Jennifer Lawrence to take an unexpected fashion faux pas completely in stride. The acclaimed actress and face of Dior was in attendance at the Saks Fifth Avenue lighting ceremony last week, stunning as always in a chic black blazer, pleated skirt and thin belt. But just as Lawrence began waxing poetic about the iconic department store and Dior’s dazzling new holiday display, her belt unexpectedly snapped off mid-speech, clattering loudly to the ground.
“I’m so sorry, that was so loud – my belt popped off!” Lawrence exclaimed with a shocked raise of her hands to her mouth. But in true leading lady form, she simply carried on with her speech, unveiling Dior’s enchanting “Carousel of Dreams” window display for the delighted crowd. Lawrence has never been one to get frazzled in the public eye – after all, this is the same starlet who famously tripped on her way to accept her Academy Award in 2013. She took the silly stumble completely in stride then, just as she did with her snapped belt last week.
