Oscar nominee Florence Pugh is no stranger to sheer dresses and daring fashion statements, but her latest red carpet look takes futuristic fantasy to new heights. The two-piece ensemble consisted of a high-waisted column skirt and a bra top, both crafted from sheer fabric and encrusted with tiny diamond-shaped mirrors that caught the light and dazzled onlookers. Paired with metallic silver heels, Pugh’s ensemble was a true fashion spectacle befitting the film’s otherworldly vibe.

Stylist Rebecca Corbin-Murray—who also dressed Pugh on press tours for OppenheimerA Good PersonDon’t Worry Darling, and more—finished the star’s ensemble with a trio of gleaming silver tube earrings and two matching snake-chain necklaces. Added flair from metallic silver crystal-trimmed slingback sandals gave the look a sparkly finish. Pugh’s tonal rose-pink makeup—including a deep eyeshadow and matching lipstick—also brought a romantic complement to her shimmering outfit.

Pugh stars as Princess Irulan in the highly anticipated ‘Dune: Part Two,’ which hits theaters worldwide on March 1st. While her character makes her grand entrance in the second installment, she joins an impressive ensemble cast including Zendaya, Timothée Chalamet, Austin Butler, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Stellan Skarsgård, Charlotte Rampling, and Javier Bardem.

In Frank Herbert’s iconic novels, Irulan serves as the narrative framework for the expansive story. However, director Denis Villeneuve has reimagined her role, leaving fans eagerly speculating about her significance in his cinematic vision.

According to ScreenRant, “Herbert made her an ancillary character in service to Paul’s storyline, but it seems like the film will give her more agency than being a dutiful wife.” The site adds that it appears Irulan will be much deeper and layered in the movie, serving as a “sort of investigative reporter searching for answers about House Atreides.” These intriguing changes make her “much more fascinating than her motivations in the novel to be a dutiful wife.”

While Irulan takes on a more prominent role in the later novels ‘Dune Messiah’ and ‘Children of Dune,’ her presence in ‘Dune: Part Two’ promises to captivate audiences with her enigmatic allure. As the second half of Herbert’s first ‘Dune’ novel unfolds on the silver screen, fans eagerly await news on whether more films in the epic saga are on the horizon.
