Swifty Soles: Taylor’s Trendy Flats & Glitzy Heels Dazzle in Brazil
When Taylor Swift took the stage in São Paulo last week, her footwear selections captivated as much as her chart-topping vocals. Kicking off the South American leg of her Eras Tour in an ethereal lilac gown, Swift floated across the stage in pastel purple ballet flats with dainty ribbon accents. The soft leather flats effortlessly complemented her floaty maxi dress designed by stylist Joseph Cassell Falconer for the Folklore portion of the evening.
Later in the show, Swift emerged in a crystal-coated Roberto Cavalli matching crop top and miniskirt that evoked an aquatic splendor. With thousands of light-catching crystals in shades of blue and green, the custom stage-ready set dazzled under the stage lights.
Swift’s stylist perfectly matched the hue of her heels to the crystalline motif, selecting a pair of Christian Louboutin ankle booties coated in bright blue and green crystals. True to his signature, the bottoms flaunted a glossy cherry red lacquer. Much like the Cavalli look itself, Swift has previously rocked the booties in array of custom colors to coordinate with her array of stage costumes through the years.
Swift has become synonymous with statement heels over the years, perhaps no more iconic than her spinning “Style” platform pumps immortalized in her music video of the same name.
During her Eras Tour, which stretches into late 2024, expect to see Taylor continue to employ show-stopping footwear as she guides audiences through the musical eras that have defined her genre-spanning career. With opening acts like Phoebe Bridgers and Paramore slated to perform across various tour dates, Swifties anticipate more glitzy heels and trendy flats to come when Swift returns stateside.
