The SAG Awards descended upon our Netflix screens Saturday night, coronating new talents while honoring beloved institutions. Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr. sparkled in Oppenheimer victories, while ingenue Lily Gladstone stunned with the lead actress prize. On the small screen, dramedy treasures The Bear and Abbott Elementary rejoiced, along with paradigm-shifters Severance and The White Lotus. Yet the night belonged to newcomers: Ayo Edebiri of The Bear, injecting vim into comedy writing; and Pedro Pascal, seemingly as shocked as the viewers by his triumph for the gaming sensation The Last of Us.
