Dancing Queen: Julianne Hough Brings High Fashion to the Ballroom
As Dancing with the Stars sashays into its third week, all eyes are on co-host Julianne Hough as she brings high fashion glamour to the ballroom each night. The two-time Mirrorball champ-turned-judge has embraced her new role on the other side of the dancefloor by showcasing her evolved, sophisticated style with the help of her personal stylist, Jennifer Mazur.
“After being on this show for so many years, my style has evolved so much,” Hough exclusively told us. Now, with Mazur’s keen eye, Hough is able to merge the high energy and glitz of DWTS with sleek, couture looks from fashion powerhouses like Valentino, Saint Laurent, and Brandon Maxwell. “She is able to create and pull together looks that really resonate with me personally, by showcasing more of a fashion vibe while still reflecting the glitz and glamour of the ballroom,” Hough said.
For week one’s premiere, the blonde beauty dazzled in a scarlet Brandon Maxwell jumpsuit with a plunging neckline and belted waist, setting the tone for her fashion-forward season. During Disney Week, Hough channeled Old Hollywood glam in a white, asymmetrical Valentino gown and diamond necklace as she introduced the night’s fairy tale theme.
Hough’s personal style shined especially bright for #80sNight, rocking a hot pink, off-the-shoulder dress with puff sleeves by Retrofete, pairing the neon look with matching eye makeup and crimped tresses for full dance party effect. And just when we thought her wardrobe couldn’t get any more enviable, she arrived to Prom Night in a dreamy blush tulle gown by Giambattista Valli, looking every bit the belle of the ball.
“From themed nights to elegant classics, it’s been such a joy to collaborate with my team and tap into my passion and love for fashion,” Hough revealed. “I’m excited for everyone to see what we have in store for the rest of the season.”
