Celebrating Women of the Year in Style
Last night saw the return of Harper’s Bazaar’s annual Women of the Year Awards at Claridge’s, where we were delighted to honor a host of inspiring talents. Held in partnership with Harry Winston and attended by the likes of Emilia Clarke, Jenna Ortega and Janelle Monáe, the star-studded event felt like a particularly special celebration of female achievement across film, TV, art and culture.
Leading the glamour on the red carpet was musician Janelle Monáe, who made a sculptural statement in a custom black Harris Reed gown with voluminous sleeves and a structured bodice. She accessorized with a Felipe Oliviera clutch and dazzling jewelry by Olivia & Pearl.
Emilia Clarke exuded old Hollywood allure in a strapless blush gown by Emilia Wickstead, which she paired with glowing makeup and her hair styled in romantic waves.
Newly minted ‘Scream Queen’ Jenna Ortega embodied gothic glamour in a sheer-paneled Dior LBD worn under a black embroidered coat, along with dark berry lips and messy updo.
Screen legend Olivia Colman was the picture of understated elegance in a navy Stella McCartney number with cap sleeves and subtle bead embellishment, which she complemented with dainty pearl accessories.
Inside the ballroom, nominees and guests including Naomi Watts, Kim Cattrall and Gugu Mbatha-Raw gathered to enjoy a glittering dinner and celebrate the evening’s honorees.
Sporting an elegant one-shouldered Tory Burch gown and bold red pout, Naomi Watts epitomized timeless sophistication. Kim Cattrall turned heads in a shimmering emerald Balmain mini dress and sheer polka dot tights. For her part, Gugu Mbatha-Raw looked sublime in an ethereal black Armani Privé gown adorned with glinting sequins.
Truly a night for celebrating inspired women from all walks of life, Harper’s Bazaar’s 2023 Women of the Year Awards marked the return of this beloved annual event in signature glamorous style.
