Nicole Kidman Steps Out in Signature Knife Heels for Balenciaga’s Star-Studded Show
Nicole Kidman meant high fashion business while attending Balenciaga’s pre-fall 2024 fashion show last night, held on South Windsor Boulevard in Los Angeles. The A-list occasion marked Kidman’s debut as the newest ambassador for the French luxury label known for its edgy, futuristic designs.
Ever the style star, Kidman arrived to the show in a pair of Balenciaga’s signature Knife pumps. The pointed-toe silhouette with soaring stiletto counters, rendered in matte black spandex and equipped with heel heights of vertiginous proportions, have become one of the brand’s most famous styles. The Academy Award winner’s pair, retailing for $975, delivered from top to bottom on polish and precision. They looked notably sharp alongside her double-breasted coat dress in black, which featured long sleeves and a curved neckline, as well as sheer black tights and gloves. Kidman’s blacked-out ensemble and fierce footwear allowed her natural glow to take center stage. The “Expats” star sat front row alongside fellow celebrities including Salma Hayek and Paloma Elsesser, as well as Balenciaga CEO Cédric Charbit, to take in Creative Director Demna’s latest collection. Models stormed the runway in bold graffitied gowns, deconstructed jeans, and sky-high platform boots in a spectacle that merged fashion and performance art seamlessly. The event also featured exciting collabs with city staple Erewhon Market and dazzling jewelry from Jacob & Co. Cardi B herself even made a surprise cameo to close out the production in an emerald green archival gown from 1987 that clung to her enviable curves before billowing to the floor.
