Fashion fans relived their teen dreams last night as Dawson’s Creek icons Katie Holmes and Michelle Williams reunited on the red carpet. The beloved co-stars turned heads in haute couture at the grand opening of Chanel’s new 5th Avenue flagship in New York City.
While celebrating the opening of its new watches and fine jewelry boutique on New York City’s glamorous Fifth Avenue on Wednesday night, the brand welcomed A-listers including Michelle Williams, Katie Holmes, Kerry Washington and more to celebrate in style.
Holmes, 44, commanded attention in a sophisticated black pantsuit ensemble by the iconic French fashion house. The asymmetric jacket featured a deep V-neckline that revealed a peek of a lacy black bralette, adding an alluring edge to the tailored look. Holmes styled her look with a pair of round toe heels and a black micro quilted bag, also from Chanel. The actress accessorized with statement silver drop earrings, a quilted Chanel handbag, and a sultry red lip.
Not to be outdone, Williams, 42, channeled refined prep in a plaid button-down minidress from the luxury brand. The long-sleeve mini featured Chanel’s signature details and was styled with opaque black tights. To protect herself from the cold, she dressed her look up a bit with black tights and wore black heels. The Fosse/Verdon star complemented her icy blonde pixie with dainty diamond studs and a soft mauve lip.
Inside the glamorous soiree, the former classmates, who played the indelible roles of Joey Potter and Jen Lindley on the late 90s teen drama, posed for a nostalgic reunion photo that had the internet swooning.
While Dawson’s Creek may have signed off over 20 years ago, Holmes and Williams have continued to make their marks in the realms of fashion, film, and beyond.
