Emma Stone’s Longtime Dream to Be a “Jeopardy!” Contestant. She’s won an Oscar, two Golden Globes, and performed on Broadway, but Emma Stone has yet to accomplish one of her biggest dreams: competing on “Jeopardy!

The actress recently revealed on Variety’s “Awards Circuit” podcast that appearing on the iconic game show is something she’s wanted for years. “I’m sorry, I don’t want to go on Celebrity Jeopardy,” Stone said. “I really want to earn my stripes.”

Stone goes on to explain that she applies every June to be a contestant, but has yet to hear back. “You have to take the test and you can only take it once a year with your e-mail address,” she said. “So, every June, I take the quiz, and they don’t tell you how you did. They just say, ‘We’ll let you know in the next nine to 12 months if you got on the show.’ And guess what? I haven’t gotten on the show. “I’m sorry, I don’t want to go on Celebrity Jeopardy,” Stone said on a recent episode of Variety’s “Awards Circuit” podcast. “I really want to earn my stripes.”

The actress, who just took home Best Actress Golden Globes for her work in Poor Things, says she prepares extensively in hopes of one day getting the coveted callback. “I watch it every single night and I mark down how many answers I get right,” she revealed. “I swear, I could go on Jeopardy. That’s my favorite show. That’s my dream.”

Could 2023 finally be the year Stone gets to live out that dream? She certainly has the knowledge and quick recall required to thrive in the fast-paced game. And as Jeopardy! producers search for talent after the loss of legendary host Alex Trebek, Stone would undoubtedly bring star power and a passionate fan base.

In the meantime, Stone continues her award show domination, having just given a moving tribute to her husband, Dave McCary, at the Golden Globes. The couple, who married in 2020, recently welcomed their first child, daughter Louise Jean McCary.
