Fresh off her Golden Globe win for “Poor Things,” actress Emma Stone is listing her Los Angeles home for $3.995 million.
Emma Stone, our radiant redheaded darling of the silver screen, is bidding a bittersweet adieu to the darling dwellings of her adopted city of angels. Fresh off her Golden Globe victory for the darkly comedic “Poor Things,” the actress has decided to list her charming 1920s Spanish abode in Los Angeles’ exclusive Comstock Hills neighborhood for $3.995 million.
The home, which Emma purchased for $2.3 million in 2019, holds special meaning for the actress. “She renovated it after moving in, keeping beautiful original details like beamed ceilings and a tiled courtyard while expanding and modernizing the kitchen,” shared listing agent Eric Lavey of Sotheby’s International Realty. Emma also added a delightful one-bedroom guest house, making the property perfectly primed for entertaining her circle of famous friends.
Alas, even such an exquisite property cannot keep our Emma tied down to one location. “She had been using it as a pied-à-terre when in LA, but her home base is no longer in the city,” explained Lavey. Indeed, the erstwhile California girl, who welcomed her first child with husband Dave McCary in 2021, set down roots in Austin, Texas that same year. In 2022, she bid adieu to her Malibu beach retreat to the tune of $4.425 million.
While Emma did not share the impetus for this latest move, we can surmise she is simply following her heart and her art from coast to coast. She currently dazzles in the new Showtime anthology series “The Curse,” and will soon begin production on Yorgos Lanthimos’ “Kinds of Kindness” opposite Ralph Fiennes.
As for the Los Angeles market, Mr. Lavey assures us demand remains high, particularly for move-in-ready homes like Emma’s, and under the $5 million price point. “It’s one of the most brisk markets,” he stated. Though prices and sales dipped in 2022, they remain at pre-pandemic highs, according to recent reports.
And so we bid a fond farewell to Emma’s Los Angeles haven, with its original Spanish details and inject of her own darling style. The home seems destined to provide a stylish creative oasis for another star…perhaps one who will uphold Emma’s glittering legacy in the city where stars are born and dreams are made. Wherever you shine your light next, dearest Emma, may your star continue to dazzle and inspire.
