Danish Dynamos: Copenhagen Street Style Stars Shine Bright

The final glorious gown may have swept off the Paris Couture runways, but the global fashion spotlight has pivoted to the effortlessly chic streets of Copenhagen. As Copenhagen Fashion Week captivates, this Scandinavian capital is transforming into an open-air catwalk, with famous faces making bold style statements befitting the hometown of Hygge.

The schedule at Copenhagen Fashion Week is so jam-packed that it’s difficult to stand out from the crowd. Not so for London-based brand Paolina Russo, which held its sophomore show in the Danish capital this season. The designers were certainly successful in transporting their Paolina Russo universe to Copenhagen, with the brand’s show being a major highlight of the season. Where next? We’d love to see them bringing their magic to their hometown of London.

Leading the stylish pack is designer Alana Hadid, whose quilted metallic jacket and clog boots epitomize Danish edge with a dash of her famous family’s trademark glamour. The older sibling of supermodels Bella and Gigi Hadid proves fashion flair runs deep in the Hadid genes. With her silver locks flowing, Alana’s metallic moment cements her status as Fashion Week royalty.

It was a date for rising British “It” girls Edie Liberty Rose and Mia Regan at the Saks Potts show. Edie embodied vampy Scandi glam in a textured two-piece with glinting silver drop earrings that dazzled alongside a modernist clear clutch. Meanwhile, Mia opted for romantic whimsy with a rustic leather jacket styled with fluid black culottes and sultry scarlet socks popping against delicately pointed kitten heels.

Fellow front-row fixtures Marie Heyman and Emili Sindlev displayed their distinctive Danish fashion prowess. Marie donned a showstopping cobalt blue crushed leather jumpsuit cinched at the waist for the ultimate in sleek sophistication, grounded with classic black flats. Danish street style icon Emili paired a sugar brown turtleneck with an unexpected black-and-white cow print midi skirt for a modern take on heritage hygge chic.

Even on the catwalk, famous faces were stepping out, like Danish supermodel stella maxwell owning the runway in classic Saks Potts style. Sashaying in the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2024 collection, stella proved unfussy Scandinavian staples never go out of vogue.

As Copenhagen Fashion Week continues, these Danish trendsetters are certain to bring droves of fashion inspiration. With effortless silhouettes, tactile textures, and rebellious remixes of tradition, Copenhagen isn’t merely debuting new looks—it’s pioneering the future of style itself. When it comes to fashion’s next daring revolution, expect the Danes to lead the charge.
