Football royalty Brittany Mahomes is proving she has what it takes to rule the modeling world as well. The entrepreneurial mother of two and wife of Super Bowl-bound Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes made a showstopping debut as a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit rookie this week, appearing in the iconic magazine’s 2024 issue out this May. Turning heads in a series of figure-flaunting Chiefs red swimsuits captured on a breezy beach by photographer Derek Kettela, Brittany brings some serious heat to the glossy\u2019s 60th anniversary edition.<\/p>\n

\u201cNever in a million years did I think this would happen,\u201d admits the former pro soccer player and co-owner of women\u2019s soccer club Kansas City Current. \u201cI want women to feel empowered to always be yourself, love yourself and feel confident in whatever you do, and I think SI Swimsuit does, too.\u201d Channeling her inner Baywatch babe in one barely-there halter cutout one-piece which bares her toned abs, the 28-year-old mom of two looks every inch the glamazon. Some people on social media expressed their disapproval of Mahomes\u2019 debut shortly after the publication announced Thursday that she was to appear in the magazine\u2019s\u00a02024 SI Swimsuit Issue. Several people on X, formerly Twitter, made insulting remarks about her appearance, while others\u00a0suggested she was only featured\u00a0in the publication due to her\u00a0new friendship with Taylor Swift<\/a>. But Mahomes, a former professional soccer player and co-owner of the women\u2019s soccer team Kansas City Current, is apparently shaking off the criticism.<\/p>\n

In her interview with Sports Illustrated, Mahomes described herself as \u201cunapologetically always myself in any setting.\u201d \u201cPeople are going to love you or hate you, but finding your values and what makes you \u2018you\u2019 to be the best version of yourself is what really matters,\u201d she said. \u201cWhether that\u2019s health and wellness, being a great wife or mom, or career goals, being the best version of you is the most important thing you can be.\u201d Brittany and Patrick Mahomes wed in March 2022.
