Miley\u2019s Golden Moment: Cyrus Makes a Statement in Custom Margiela x Louboutin Tabi Heels. The singer was nominated for some of the biggest Grammy awards this year, including Album of the Year for her 2023 LP\u00a0Endless Summer Vacation<\/em>\u00a0and Song of the Year for its lead single, \u201cFlowers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trust Miley Cyrus to make an entrance. The singer and style icon arrived at the 2024 Grammy Awards red carpet on February 4th in a show-stopping gold chainmail minidress with a daring thigh-high slit. But it was her shoes that stole the spotlight – a custom pair of Tabi heels created especially for her by Maison Margiela and Christian Louboutin. The ensemble doesn\u2019t just look metallic \u2014 it\u2019s made of metal. Cyrus even wore metal panties under the custom creation and topped off her look with Tabi heels by the French fashion house. She topped of the skin-baring look with a voluminous, Barbarella<\/em>-esque blowout.<\/p>\n

Cyrus\u2019 heels featured the iconic split-toe Tabi silhouette, rendered in rich yellow-gold suede with a metallic leather back and 4-inch stiletto heels. The shoes bore Cyrus\u2019 initials \u201cMC\u201d in an elaborate scroll design, no doubt referencing the custom gold platform heels featuring her initials that her stylist Bradley Kenneth created for her 2019 Grammys look.<\/p>\n

The Maison Margiela x Christian Louboutin Tabi heels were the perfect complement to Cyrus\u2019 gold chainmail dress, also custom-made for her by Margiela. Between the disco-ball inspired ensemble and the show-stopping footwear, Cyrus embodied the glamour and drama befitting music\u2019s biggest night.<\/p>\n

Cyrus\u2019 affinity for the split-toe Tabi shoe is no surprise, given its surge in popularity among fashion influencers and celebrities like Dua Lipa<\/a> and Chloe Sevigny. Margiela first launched the iconic tabi shoe, inspired by traditional Japanese tabi socks, in the 1980s. But the unusual silhouette has enjoyed a major renaissance thanks to John Galliano\u2019s wildly creative interpretations of the style in his collections for Maison Margiela, from animalistic hoof-like pumps to crystal-embellished boots.<\/p>\n
