Even Barbie needs a jeans day sometimes. Margot Robbie<\/a> embraced laid-back luxury as she attended a SAG screening of \u201cBarbie\u201d in Los Angeles this week, opting for designer denim and a playful graphic tee rather than one of her character\u2019s signature glamorous looks.<\/p>\n

While the Australian actress might have chosen a more relaxed ensemble for the event, she demonstrated her flair for high fashion by selecting a slew of upscale pieces for her off-duty vibe. The \u201cSuicide Squad\u201d star donned a $3,100 gray wool blazer from Bottega Veneta, pairing the sophisticated topper with the Italian label\u2019s $900 light-wash jeans. Adding a touch of whimsy was an astronaut-adorned Barbie graphic t-shirt from London-based brand Chinti & Parker.<\/p>\n

Of course, Robbie didn\u2019t abandon her affinity for doll-inspired style entirely, completing the look with a pair of candy pink Manolo Blahnik heels. With her tousled blonde waves and minimal makeup, she epitomized California cool.<\/p>\n

The casual-chic ensemble was a noticeable departure from the array of glitzy full-Barbie transformations Robbie has showcased while promoting the film. Over the past weeks, she has fully leaned into recreate looks straight from Mattel\u2019s iconic toy line, from a dazzling black gown channeling Solo in the Spotlight Barbie to a neon \u201890s ensemble inspired by Earring Magic Barbie.<\/p>\n

In fact, Robbie\u2019s scene-stealing promotional style has sparked such enthusiasm that she collaborated on a book with her stylist Andrew Mukamal entitled \u201cBarbie: The World Tour” documenting all her show-stopping looks. The $50 fashion tome drops in March just ahead of the Academy Awards.<\/p>\n

Robbie was joined at the Los Angeles event by co-stars Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera, Ariana Greenblatt and Rhea Perlman, along with director Greta Gerwig. When asked about the film\u2019s Oscar snubs for best director and best actress, Robbie stayed upbeat, telling the audience: \u201cThere\u2019s no way to feel sad when you know you\u2019re this blessed.\u201d Margot Robbie is finally sharing her thoughts on how this year\u2019s Oscar nominations panned out, which resulted in widespread disappointment after the \u201cBarbie\u201d star did not earn a nod in the lead actress category.<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cObviously I think Greta should be nominated as a director, because what she did is a once-in-a-career, once-in-a-lifetime thing…\u201d<\/p>\n

Ultimately though, Robbie expressed delight at the movie\u2019s eight total nominations including the coveted Best Picture nod: \u201cEveryone getting the nods that they\u2019ve had is just incredible, and the best picture nod.\u201d<\/p>\n
