A Bundle of Joy for the Kardashian-Barkers<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an intimate reveal on the latest episode of her family’s hit reality show, Kourtney Kardashian disclosed that she and husband Travis Barker conceived their first child together au naturel, without medical intervention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It happened on Valentine’s Day,” the 44-year-old mother of three disclosed. “I mean, people would always tell say to us, ‘When you stop trying, it’s just going to happen.'”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a year of undergoing IVF treatments filled with “hormones and chemicals,” the celebrity couple decided to cease procedures and let destiny take the wheel. “We were not trying whatsoever. I wasn’t even checking my ovulation anymore. We decided to put it in God’s hands and thought it was just not happening. We were accepting of it and then…God’s plan.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kardashian, who welcomed her fourth child, a son, earlier this month, deems his conception nothing short of miraculous. “It truly feels like a miracle being able to be pregnant and have a baby with the love of my life.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her serendipitous pregnancy announcement comes on the heels of her May nuptials to Barker in Portofino, Italy. After a whirlwind romance, the pair decided to expand their blended brood. Between them, they already parent six children from previous relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While undergoing IVF, Kardashian learned firsthand how taxing fertility treatments can be. “We just got pregnant naturally. It was an indescribable feeling. Shock, then super-happy, fear sets in, worry, but I remembered then to have gratitude.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her pregnancy was not without complications. In September, a frightening fetal condition necessitated emergency surgery. “That experience opened my eyes to a whole new world of pregnancy that I didn\u2019t know about in the past. It was terrifying. And I learned that insurance typically only covers two ultrasounds when you\u2019re pregnant, I had no idea. I\u2019ve always been lucky enough to do more than what insurance covers, and it\u2019s one of those ultrasounds that saved my baby\u2019s life.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While she did not expound on the specifics, Kardashian stressed the importance of comprehensive prenatal testing. Thanks to her attentive medical team, her son has joined the ever-expanding Kardashian clan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the family embarks on this new chapter, they have much to celebrate this holiday season. Kardashian and Barker’s miracle baby marks a joyful new beginning.
