The Princess’s Pedicure: How Kate Middleton’s Toes Have Gone Into Hiding<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the future Queen of England, Kate Middleton has undergone a style evolution over the past decade in the public eye. While her glossy locks and enviable coat collection may steal the spotlight, keen royal style watchers have noticed a major change when it comes to the Princess’s footwear. Gone are the days of peep-toe pumps and strappy sandals showing off painted pedicures – Kate’s toes have gone into hiding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her early days as a newlywed member of the royal family, Kate wasn’t afraid to show some toe cleavage on formal occasions. Arriving at events in peep-toe Jimmy Choos or open-toed LK Bennett heels, a perfectly pedicured big toe would peek out demurely from beneath the Princess’s hem. Royal banquets, engagements, and even a visit to the mosque were all occasions where Kate would bare a well-groomed bit of toe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, in recent years, not a nail has been on display. Kate has traded the peep toes for completely enclosed pumps and classic courts from her go-to brand, Gianvito Rossi. The same lithe stiletto heel but with the toes tucked away, providing a more modest royal look. At formal events, tiaras and ballgowns are now paired with ladylike closed-toe heels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a royal fashion expert, this toes-undercover style evolution makes sense as Kate grows into her role within the royal family. As a future Queen, dressing modestly and formally at public appearances is perfectly polished royal protocol. Flashing toe cleavage is no longer fitting for someone so close to the crown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While members of the public may miss seeing Kate’s pedicure peeking out, covering up is simply part of the Princess’ transition into sophisticated regal fashion.
