There is something undeniably unsettling about watching Robert Pattinson become someone else entirely \u2014 and in A24’s newly released trailer for Primetime<\/em>, the actor disappears into the role of Chris Hansen, the television journalist whose name became synonymous with America’s uneasy fascination with true crime spectacle. Ahead of its world premiere in competition at the Venice International Film Festival, the trailer arrives with the moody, unshakeable tension audiences have come to expect from director Lance Oppenheim, the mind behind the cult favorite Some Kind of Heaven<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The film traces the origin story of To Catch a Predator<\/em>, the infamous Dateline NBC<\/a><\/em> segment that ran from 2004 to 2007, working alongside watchdog group Perverted Justice to expose men attempting to arrange meetings with minors.
