Nashville, TN – Beloved country icon Dolly Parton was a vision in rhinestones and sky-high heels at the opening night of her My Life In Rhinestones exhibition at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum this weekend. Parton, known for her over-the-top fashion and glamorous style, did not disappoint fans who flocked to the highly anticipated event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Dolly was sparkling from head to toe in a dazzling, reptilian-inspired minidress dripping with rhinestones and embellishments,” describes Harper’s Bazaar’s senior fashion editor Claudia Matthews who was on the scene. “Her platinum blonde locks were teased to perfection and cascading down her shoulders. But the real showstopper was her shoes – six-inch peep-toe platforms covered in shiny silver and blue crystals that elevated her signature look.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parton paired the gleaming heels with sheer mesh panels along her thighs and arms for an added dose of high-voltage glamor. “She looked incredible,” remarks Matthews. “That dress clung to every curve and the shoes made her legs look a mile long. The rhinestones caught every flashbulb – she was shining like a disco ball.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hitmaker revealed that skyscraper heels are a fashion essential no matter the occasion. “I just feel prettier and better in some things more than others,” Parton told Harper’s Bazaar. “No matter what else I’m wearing, whether it’s casual or fancy, I’m always wearing my high-heeled shoes.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parton also hinted that a fashion line could be in the works. “I’ve often thought about having my own line of clothes and I think someday I will,” she confessed. “I’d like to have different versions – some dressy rhinestone looks, because I’m known for that, but also a comfortable line you could dress up with jewelry.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
