A Splash of Glamour at Sundance: Saoirse Ronan Dazzles in Louis Vuitton
As the snow falls gently over the mountainous landscape surrounding Park City, Utah, Sundance Film Festival has once again kicked off in glitzy style. Celebrities descended for opening weekend wearing their coziest-yet-chicest outfits to brave the winter chill during the nearly two weeks of premieres, parties, panels and deal-making. Leading the fashion pack was none other than Oscar-nominated actress Saoirse Ronan, who lit up the red carpet at the debut of her latest drama, “The Outrun.”
Dressed to the nines in a shimmering pale blue jumpsuit from Louis Vuitton’s 2023 resort collection, Ronan captivated onlookers with her dazzling, daring look. The figure-hugging one-piece featured a 1930s silhouette including an off-the-shoulder neckline that gracefully draped over her décolletage. The wide-leg, fluid pants lent a modern ease to the otherwise retro dress. But it was the textural details that truly elevated this ice queen ensemble—the jumpsuit’s cerulean shade came rendered in striped, sequin embellishments that caught the paparazzi’s flashbulbs at every turn.
Yet the “Little Women” talent didn’t stop there in her homage to Old Hollywood glam. Stylist Elizabeth Saltzman completed the look with a pair of cut-out cage heels, also courtesy of Louis Vuitton. Covering only the toe and back heel in a lattice of black leather and silver chains, the sandals bared Ronan’s arches and sides of feet for an alluring hint of skin. With her blonde tresses coiffed in glossy, face-framing waves and donning shimmering shadow and rose-petal lips, Ronan proved she can hold court with Tinseltown’s leading ladies of yore in the style stakes.
The following day, Ronan emerged wearing a decidedly dressed-down look as she attended a panel at The MARC for her psychodrama that follows an Irish immigrant returning home after building a new life in New York. Though casual, it showcased the starlet’s savvy ability to blend high fashion with low-key pieces for a sophisticated spin on laidback style. Ronan chose a thick ribbed knit jumpsuit fromZeynep Arçay, known for its cool-girl meets modern feminist aesthetic. With a relaxed, ski bunny vibe, the cozy one-piece came complete with a tank bodice and slouchy pants that still managed to hug her svelte frame. Taking a subtle cue from ski chalet-chic, she added a touch of shine via a gold chain on the bust. A pair of weather-appropriate leather boots finished off the cinched-ankle look.
Between Ronan’s glitzy gown and her dressed-down jumpsuit, she proved her versatility when it comes to red carpet fashion. We look forward to seeing what other style moments the ingénue has in store as Sundance Film Festival continues over the next week. Stay tuned here for all the highlights.
