Sunday’s telecast crowned below-the-line and guest-acting excellence ahead of next week’s Primetime Emmys, and the night was rich with milestones. Shailene Woodley claimed her first-ever Emmy for guest drama actress, marking a historic inaugural win for Paradise, while Ernest Harden Jr. triumphed in the same category for The Pitt. David Harbour and Linda Cardellini swept the limited-series supporting acting honors, and in one of the evening’s most moving moments, the late Rob Reiner was posthumously awarded guest comedy actor for his work on The Bear. Betty Gilpin took home guest comedy actress for Widow’s Bay, which emerged as the night’s biggest winner with eight statues in total. I Love Lucy, meanwhile, was honored with the prestigious Legacy Award.
